In times of drought, trust God!

The heat is on, there is an economic drought in many places resulting in a lot of negativity, anxiety and tension.God's word to his people is "Don't let it panic you. This is nothing new to me, I will see you through".

Why not spend a bit of time to quietly meditate (which in Biblical terms literally means to chew on, savor and get full nourishment from) on God's encouragement today...... The prophet Jeremiah took up this theme and God encourages us today with the same word that has been true generation after generation (Jer. 17:7-8):

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

Brothers and sisters, because of Jesus' grace you are a fruitful tree of The Lord. Do not be shaken. See yourself as God see you, righteous, full of his life and fruit full. He will see you through all droughts and storms. God is saying that He see you as an unshakable Oak of Righteousness that will weather every storm and every drought and eventually change the very world around you (Isa.61:3-5). Grace and peace.
